Can't tell you the pinout, but I do know that Volvo *always* uses relays to swotch the high current for lights (headlighs, foglights, etc.)

The switch was probably not designed to cope with more than a few hundred mA's of current draw.

So at least install a relay as well to control the high load and use the switch (once you get the pinout) to trigger the relay.
