AC short cycling 850 1994

Okay, I know that this is the same old story, but my AC on my 850 turbo is short cycling. I am unsure if there is any 134 in it now or not. But here it goes... If I go and recharge the system what type of oil, and how much freon do I put in? Also which is the appropiate nipple for "low pressure input"? If my system is leaking and completely out of freon, will the AC compressor/computer automatically disable it as to prevent damage?

Oh boy...here goes the money for the exhaust :>(
