P0441, The hard way V70-XC70

Hello, 2002 V70 base 110K.
The morning after BRIMMING my gas tank and driving 230 miles I got and cleared a P0441,"EVAP incorrect purge flow". The code returned in two days.
The following day, near empty, the car barely accepted gas. The nozzle would click off almost immediately. Searches of P0441 yielded practically nothing. It was cited as possibly caused by a bad/clogged purge valve. The master list of fault codes came up several times.
I dug out my can of carb cleaner but before lowering the exhaust system to access the purge valve-a tough reach-I decided to "let her breathe a while".
Fueling was still difficult on day four. I kept the gas guage well below 1/4; enough for errands. I added some Techron concentrate as a sacrifice to the petrochemical Gods.
Five days after my last CEL and three days after the second balky fueling attempt the car took fuel normally. Learn from my mistake fellow Brickboarders. Kira
