MOMO SHIFT KNOB C70 1998

Recently was given a MOMO Shift Knob for my 1998 C70 and I thought that I would be able to replace the original shift knob( 5 speed ) on the C70 by myself...however this seems to be much more difficult then I thought.

I brought the car in to Volvo dealer...and was shocked when told that in order to replace the knob with the MOMO, I "had better be sure it will fit as the original must be cut off"...WOW !!!

Please, someone enlight me on changing my original shift knob on my 5 speed C70 for a MOMO shift knob.

Thanks...this board had been great in getting answers for me in the past.
