CEL on vacation, bummer. S70 1998

Thanks to the BB I finally got my car on the road again and then with confidence went on vacation. CEL light PO301 (autozone diagnosed and said it was misfire on cylinder 1) came on while getting one of my sons from college while on the way down to the beach. The car did run rough and seemed to want to lurch and stall. Car then ran fine and 30 minutes later the CEL light went off by itself. Drove 450 miles to the beach and the car ran very well. This morning the CEL came on but this time the car ran fine. It did not run rough or want to lurch.

I have my own code reader down here and the message was "1 stored code." I cleared the code and the CEL went out. It said "no codes found" and then "not ready." The code reader manual said that the car has to complete some test cycles until the "not ready" would read "ready."

I'm confused. Is it fixed?

By way of information. Three days ago in preparation for the trip, I did change the spark plugs with Volvo plugs, cleaned the IAC, throttle body and the AMM. Did any of this trigger the CEL PO301?

Thanks, George
