2000 S40 odd headlight trouble S40-V40

So after they worked on it at the dealership, , and didn't find anything, the light just decided to stay off. I took it in on Monday to get a new bulb put in on the chance that was the problem. After that it still didn't work. So they took another look, and this time found the trouble. It's in the "central power module"( a $900 part, plus installation, of course. Imagine that a $1000 fix to make a headlight work!
