gear oil leak? 850 94

I've spotted a oil leak the other day. A look under the car revealed the spot where it is leaking. It is where the front axel comes out. It is on the driver side only. I don't see any leak above the axle. It does not look like transmission fluid but I could be wrong. Is it gear oil? Anyone know how much it would cost to fix something like this?
