I had a problem with the center toggle switch that contols how the interior lights work on my 93. Seems the switch rotates on a shaft and one of the plastic snap-on connectors on one side broke, leaving the switch hinged only on one side. This was loose enough to cause it to lose contact and none of the lights would work. I thought a new switch was the only solution, but I inserted a plastic shim beside the switch opposite the side with the broken hinge. This forced the switch to be lined up properly and now works perfectly. There is enough friction on the shim to keep it from falling out. I think I cut a small piece of a plastic milk jug to use as the shim. As weird as this all sounds, it worked!

Your problem may be entirely different, though. To remove the whole switch assembly, remove the bulb cover(s) as if you were replacing the bulbs (see owners manual). You should see the screws holding the whole assembly in place and should be able to diagnose the problem much more easily.
