A & B diagnostic Sockets 1993-1995 850 1994

The post at Bay13 mentions at the end that the transmission could turn on the check engine light and you might have to clear it first. 99% of the time if the transmission has set a code, you will also have the flashing arrow on the dash and maybe a light show from the mode selector switch. (E,S,W) The short write up works well enough for most with out getting into all the other complicated things that could be done with the sockets, I figure if people want to get into programing with the different modes, then the Volvo book can be purchased, I think you have it, I don't remember the TP number. I use a scanner at work for anything besides just pulling the codes and erasing them, I'd have to get the book to actually go in and program or activate with the diagnostic sockets only. In day to day work at a dealer (mine anyways) guys will pull and erase codes with the socket and use the small data handbook if the code doesn't come to mind, it's easier than trying to find out who has the scanner and the adaptor.
