Code 141 and 142 in the ABS 850 1994

Got out this afternoon in the sweltering Memphis heat, pushed the brake pedal and the brake lights work just fine. I disconnected the pedal position sensor in the booster and cleaned the terminal as best i could. I erased the codes and will see this week if they come again. Does anyone know how to check if the switch at the booster is working properly? i surmise it is one of those switches that is not just on and off, but rather it provides a variable output. But what should i look for?

you all have a great week

Charlie
