Shocks 850 95

OK, I've browsed the messages posted to the forum regarding shocks and most of the discussion is about Bilsteins versus the stock Boge. I get the feeling that the Bilsteins yield a harsh ride when used on the street.

My '95 854T is used for street, road course and autocross - a pretty demanding range of driving modes. I have two questions:

A) If I install the Bilsteins will my wife still consent to ride with me?

B) Has anyone tried the adjustable Koni Sport Shocks? The ones I saw had three settings to choose from. I assume the hard setting would be good for autocross and road courses while medium or soft would fit street use.
