distributor reassembly ALL 88

Help!! I have bad impulse sender in my Bosch distributor and when I took it apart, I realized that the metal shutter that was splined onto the

shaft has no alignment mark. When i put this back together how should the shutter wheel be aligned with the rotor? Does it matter?

I marked everything else, but I asumed that the distributor shaft had a pin that would drop out when I tapped off the shutter wheel. Alas, there is not! Can someone help me?
