His info is correct because any VCNA people told us the same thing years ago. That's why the RWD 960 finally died, because dealers couldn't sell them here in the US anymore (don't know about other countries). I know that BMW, MB and others still sell RWD cars but for some odd reason few new car buyers wanted a RWD Volvo in the 90's.

By the mid 90s, if a dealer had a 960 (S90, same really and last of the RWD Volvos) car sitting on their lot, it sat there for along time as few people wanted them. The 960/V90 wagons sold better but even those were slowing down compared to 850/V70 wagons.

Personally, I'd still rather drive a RWD car (and do) but many of todays US buyers seem to think that FWD is the way to go.
