Changing Expansion tank 850 1995

I just found a crack at the seem of the expansion tank for the coolant on my 1995 850. Looks like it is starting to come apart where the top and bottom and molded together. I am planning on fixing myself since it seems really easy to do. Is that the case or not? Also, how long can I run the car with the crack as it is now? I don't plan on using it for more than 10-15 minute drives until it is properly fixed. If that a bad idea or not for the remainder of this week?

Thanks!
