check engine light problem 850 1996

First off let me say sorry, as I did not put the model year, nor did I put that it is a turbo, if that makes a difference or not.
As to the codes, someone put the scanner on my car, but it did not pop up codes, instead it had a readout which said "02 sensor, bank 1, ser 1." I do not know if that means anything to you or not. If not I will drive it tomorrow to an auto parts store and have them do it again and try to get the actual codes. I just didn't want to take a chance on driving it if I don't have to. There were not any other codes or words on the scanner. Let me know if any of this makes sense. Thank you again.
