HELP! Rear SHOCK Apart and Can't Get It Back In V70-XC70 2003

OK!!! I have NEVER run into anything like this. I do almost all of my own work on three Volvo's and never run into a ****** of a job like this. I got the Spring/shock out but now I can't seem to fit the spring/spring compressor/shock assy into the confines of the suspension. I have searched and searched on various web-sites and can't find ANYTHING describing how to do this. Is ANYONE out there that can help me with this tonight? Thanks in advance......
