Half-Shaft Removal and Replacement S60 2001

I am not familar with the S60 procedure, but I have done it on the 850.

I just wanted to comment on the sliding hammer - I don't think you need one. I pried my driver's side out (carefully to avoid damaging the seal), and the right side pulled right out. On the 850 at least, I think it is safe to say the circlip on the driver's side makes it challenging to get the shaft out, but the right side comes out easily (can't remember if it has one).

I think the other poster assumed you are rebuilding the assembly. I used remanufactured for mine and they worked great.

I hope you find someone who has done the S60 - as you point out the 850/S70 has been well covered.
