Help - sticky accelerator 850 93

While driving to work this morning, my accelerator pedal was stuck with the engine at about 3,000 RPMs, and it wouldn't idle back down. The RPMs dropped a hundred or so each time I'd tap the brake, and finally went down to normal a little while after I got off the highway.

The accelerator pedal had a lot of play in the top two or three inches when it was stuck. I think it could be a cold weather problem because today is the coldest day of the year so far.

Something similar actually happened last winter, when the pedal got stuck, but it was at a higher RPM then, around 4-5,000. Luckily, I was near an exit and able to pull off without an accident. (It was a pretty icy day, and I'm glad I was driving instead of my wife.) I turned off the car and reached down to try and dislodge the pedal, and the whole pedal assembly came off in my hand! This problem was serviced by the dealer, who said it was due to cracks in the plastic of the joint where the pedal connects. This was replaced, but now I'm worried that the problem wasn't fixed properly.

I want to make sure it gets done right this time, and I need to know what to say to the dealer. Thanks in advance!
