You're talking about the one on eBay? Being offered by LKQ Corp? Their site looks like a consortium of wrecking yards,

Since they are offering it at no reserve, it could be a good deal for somebody. When you need one of these, you would probably be happy to buy a low mileage one like that for ~$1,200. (Of course, how do you know the vendor is telling the truth about the mileage?)

The thing to do is search www.copartfinder.com for a 96 850 non-turbo, and ask those wrecking yards what they would charge. If you can buy it for less than half of that price, its probably worth buying on spec. (If you can store it indoors, and keep it from rusting up.)
