What kind of fuel to use in it ? C70 1999

I recently bought a used 1999 C70 and love it with all my heart - one question the manual says 87 minimum yet 91 recommended. I was also told that due to the high altitude in Denver; there is no need to run higher then 87 - anyone have knowledge on this and/or opinion.
