How to remove wax on moldings? V70-XC70 2000

I know I should've been careful but I inadvertently put some wax (Meguiars Gold Class) on the black trim on my XC and now I'm having a hard time getting it off. It looks like it is embedded in the trim. I have tried Mother's Back-to-Black to no avail, what you guys suggest as my next step? Btw, the molding seems to be made of plastic, correct? I wondered if Meguiars #39 Heavy Duty plastic cleaner would help in this case? Would you think it is too abrasive?

On the other hand, I've never liked Back-to-Black since the trim gets dull as soon as it sees rain. Is there something better out there to recondition it like new?

Please advise..

Thanks very much!
