Re: No Start Problem 850 94

Thanks abe. I appreciate the extra info. By the way after my car started, I did notice a bit of lifter rattle, but not as bad as a ford 6 cyl low on oil. I guess I drive too conservatively. I rev it up to 4,000 to 5000 RPMs at least once a day to get the valves to rotate, but maybe I don't hold it there long enough.

The last real warm day we had here, there was a guy and a gal in a BMW convertible with the top down next to me at a light. This light is at the base of a long hill and when the light changed I floored it for my daily valve rotation. I looked in my rear view mirror, they were giving me a familiar hand jesture. Guess some people will read anything they want into your actions.

Thanks again. I review the brickboard several times a week and feel that I am getting to know some of the regular contributors. I have learned to check the name of the poster before reading. Your name is at the top of my "must read" list. This forum has saved me several hundred dollars by having access to you and the other experts. I gave up working on cars in the late 70's and 80's when they were a maze of vacuum hoses with no diagnostic capabilities. Today, I enjoy doing much of the maintenance myself. This weekend I'll be replacing the radius arm bushings and sway bar struts on my daughter's 740.
