Re: amp 850 1196

Hi Wayne

If I understand you correctly you are going to install an amplifier in your glovebox and are not sure how to hook it all up. Well you take the plus-cable to the battery and the minus-cable to the nearest possible place you can ground it. The take a thin able and connect it to "remote" on the amp, and the "remote out" on the headunit. Then hook up the two with a phono cable. Move the speaker wires to the amp and you should be rocking.

A couple of tips:

- Lead the power cables and signal cables as far away from each other as possible.

- I wouldn't install the amp in the glove compartment for two reasons. 1: It takes up a lot of room. 2: It generates a lot of heat and can't get it out of the way due to the fact that it's a small room. I would also consider installing it under one of the front seats. this would allow it to get rid of the heat better.
