Sorry Moosed. We got totally off subject.

Do you know why the engine ran out of oil yet? This is not a common thing for the 5 cyl engine. You should be able to install any 2002+ normally aspirated engine in your car with little to no modification in the wiring harness.

By all means, get the clutch replaced if you have over 150K on your current one. Get a new rear main seal, just because it is easy to do. Get new oil separator box and hoses. Get new radiator hoses and other little stuff.

But $4K does sound a bit high. I would shop around. Erie Volvo will give a 12 month warranty on a used engine.
