Pickin the pull a part 850

I had a bit of luck today at the Charlotte, NC Pull-a-Part. There was a V70 that had just hit the yard and had not been picked. I found a like new shift knob for $1.47, visors in my cars color for $5.00 ea, a couple of odd switches that I needed, and, as I was leaving, there was a 1988 760 with the trim under the front light that I have been hunting for almost 5 years!

I spent the rest of the day pulling the right hand drive shaft out to install a new boot and repack the CVs. What a crapper job! While I was under there I noticed that the rubber boots on the tie rod ends and ball joints had split. Even though this car is tight, I couldn't in good conscience sell it knowing that those joints would fail in a few thousand miles, so we ordered a complete set to install before the wheel alignment next week.

Tomorrow is the timing belt. Wish me luck and patience.

Regards,
