Re: Snow Chains for AWD V70-XC70 99

??

How about taking the southern route through Arizona/New Mexico?

Also, your car IS 4WD and if you have M&S stamped on the side of your tires, you're good to go in most conditions.

I've read a lot about CHP being sticklers in some conditions for chains in the car...but I'll bet rental 4x4 DON'T have chains in them!

My brother used to live in San Diego and as I recall he never had any trouble driving to Minnesota from there in the winter with his rwd Toyota pickup.

Of course if you're going through Truckee/Tahoe, I haven't a clue. But I'd still bet AWD and M&S tires would be sufficient.
