Not much you can do about the brake booster. If it fails it fails - get a new one from the junkyard I guess.
Ditto on the ETM though there is a 10 year warranty on those, so maybe go somewhere and see if you can convince some dealer that it's been acting up (of course it won't do it when they drive it :) ) and you want it replaced under the 10-year warranty.
If you're due for a set of tires it might help them along if you indicate you'll buy a set of tires from them if they help out (the warranty work will offset the higher prices of tires, and they'll make some margin... get it?)
If that fails, wait until the thing craps out and buy a replacement from XeMoDex in Canada. Do a search on this forum for info on this remarkable fix. Your car will be 'down and out' while they do the work though.
The transmissions did have problems but I'd be willing to wager they're more often than not due to insufficient fluid maintenance. Do a FULL flush straight away - you'll probably be surprised at how dark the fluid is. Do another next summer and then every 30k miles after that.
Consider using the Synthetic alternatives for your trans fluid, esp for the last few intervals of the flush.
I am very pleased with the Lucas Trans Fix product as well. A little fluid maintenance will go a LONG way towards saving that transmission. Do it BEFORE you hear/feel problems.
Other than that, when you're with your dealer trying to figure out what to do about your ETM get them to check out the software in your trans computer and make sure it's up to date with all upgrades available.
