There is a very easy rememdy to this and you MUST do this: Leave the air conditioner ON at all times.... an air conditioner should NEVER be turned off for any reason... My Volvo dealer (and my mother in law's Honda dealer)say that there is no reason to ever turn off the air conditioner. This is true especially since the S40 has auto climate control. You will see a huge difference right away. Good luck!
