Anyone Completely Overhauled Stereo ?? V70-XC70 AWD 98

I am considering overhauling my stereo. Can anyone who has 'gutted' their factory radio for an aftermarket one tell us their story?

1. Which head unit did you decide to go with? Head only? Head and Changer?

2. Did you add an additional amp?

3. What about speakers, did you change them all?

4. Any tricks or surprises when you installed your new unit?

5. Approx cost of upgrade?

6. Size of your kitchen sink ... :>
