V70 AWD help! Klaus? V70-XC70

I could be mistaken, but I believe the bevel gears run close to 2,000. That's a lot to put into a car that old (especially when you pay 1/2 that for the car!)

Now, you could get one or two from a junkyard and try them. With proper maintenance (IE flushes and fluid watching) it won't really degrade more, so if you find a working set it would last a good 100k. Now if you don't do your own maintenance it will be easiest to just remove the prop shaft and make it a FWD car. (It will also be cheapest to do this too..)
