(Service Reminder Lamp) SRL lamp to zero

SRL lamp alerts driver that it is time for the vehicle to be serviced. Lamp lights constantly for 120 seconds when ignition starts. Note: If the lamp flashes it is probably because none of the service parameters have been programmed.

To reset the service reminder lamp to zero do the following:

Ignition position I (radio position)

Press trip meter reset button(and hold)

ignition to position II

when the trip meter reset button has been pressed for 10 seconds, the SRL lamp starts to flash.

Release the trip meter reset button within 5 seconds. The istrument produces a sound when resetting has been done successfully.

You might try the above procedure and see if it works, if it doesn't then something is wrong, because I do it 5-10 times a day at the dealer and it works fine. If it didn't work with yours I would suspect something wrong and attempt to fix it. There is an very out side chance that a Canadian vechicle might be different in this area but I don't think so.
