Noise From Right Front 850 1997

Have a noise coming from right front end of my '97 850GLT. Sounds a little like whirring/whining sound. Starts in at 15-20 mph and increases in pitch/speed with acceleration. Difficult to tell how long it continues, as it seems to get lost in the engine noise after about 40+mph. Abruptly drops off when speed drops back to 15-20 mph. Is louder when engine is cold.

Have taken the car to dealer twice for this problem. First time - said they couldn't duplicate. Second time - they heard it but couldn't ind a problem after looking at car for 15-20 min. They asked me bring back a third time to leave overnight so they could drive it first thing in AM. I'm thinking about having an independent look at it at this point (anyone have some recommendations of good independent in North Atlanta area?)

My car has 51K miles on it. Bought used 2 months ago with extended warranty.

Any thoughts on what this noise might be would be appreciated. Also, should I let the dealer have another crack at it or is it time to explore another service option?

Thanks in advance.
