Where EXACTLY is the ECT located? 850 96

I have a 1996 850 that last winter had a hard start occurance. Boardfolk pinpointed the ECT sensor and that is what the dealer replaced and all was well. I had a similar no/hard start situation occur yesterday and wanted to check this component myself to see if there was corrosion on it's connector or whatever. The engine cranked happily but there seemed to be no fuel signals sent to the injectors. As a side tangent here, are these injectors of the mechanical or electronic type? Anyway, today is not rainy or as cold as yesterday so I was finally able to get it running after some effort but wanted to resolve the issue (it will be at the dealer tomorrow for routine service) by checking the ECT myself. Any input here would be great, I'd like to physically locate the ECT.

Thank you,

Mark
