Throttle cable question pre 1999

Klaus, I don't have one that currently works either, but I figured I could stop at Autozone to test. However, since you don't have the hard numbers to compare with me I thought I'd do the 'see how much you can suck' and see how far the throttle moved after lunch.

It tightened up the throttle cable then continued to tighten until the 2nd O in Volvo crossed where the V had been. Maybe 30 degrees of movement. I guess I could actually see how much the cable pulls because it is a bit loose when the car is off, though I figured that to be normal since the throttle actually gets to close now, and will be open some when the engine is running...

Let me know if you want hard numbers, I can stop by later and get a legit reading.
