Air Cond problem in T5R 850 95

Hi, my name is Alex and I'm one of the lucky guys to be able to own a yellow T5R in Sydney Australia. Buying it recently, the car is in excellent condition even though it has done 150000kms (only reason I could afford one) and goes great. Summer is begininng and I have noticed when I turn on the AC that the air conditioner works well for approx 10mins and but then stops producing cold air, the fan still works- seems as though the compressor isn't kicking in. Would someone have any answers?, as I don't think it needs a re-gas as it works well for the 1st 10 min or so - I've tried switching it off then on but to no avail. Can the AC's overheat or something?
