audi A4 or another Volvo,,opinions? 850 94

I am buying another car,,soon! I have a 94 turbo (mod ecu),love it, but so does the wife. My mechanic say that with the way I drive the car will die (trans, brakes etc.),do not say,,"just slow down",,not an option.

I am spoiled by the volvos power and could never get a car with a lot less power. So the question is,,,get me a little rocket (like the audi a4 5-speed) or to drive the volvo and get my wife a 1998/99 s70 (base model or glt) after driving the 850, she will not look at another make of car.

the a4 1.8t is a 1999 20k for 23,000. Very nice car,with a chip,sport exhaust,primo sound. As is it is 215hp (gteched at 6.7 0-60). I drove it! It moves! and handles great.

It is small but got great safety ratings, Edmunds loves the car (also loves volvos). Plus the AWD. Which for me just means no skid on fast starts, In snow or rain I crawl regardless of the car (I am a fast daytime/dry driver). The wife might like the added traction of AWD.

Problem is, I love volvos and I know that every day,,1 year, 2 years from now I will love to drive my 850. But the audi? will the excitement last?
