Re: Front Rotors 850 96

Pad life varies by driver. Reports on this board range from

15 to 30 K per set (front). We are getting about 30K on both

of our Volvos. The rears look kike they may go to 60K on our

two cars (but newer models have better brake porprtioning

so the rears will be used more and wear faster, I suspect).

Rotors on Volvos (and many other cars) should not be turned.

They will probably need replacing around 60K although some report

faster rotor wear. You can feel the amount of wear on the

rotor by rubbing your finger on the lip that forms on the edge.

The rotor started out flat. As you can feel, there is a lot of

material that is removed with use.
