Vacuum Leak S40-V40

All,

The OBDII code reader indicated a lean condition which, I think, is a vacuum leak. The car is a 2000 S40 with the 1.9T engine.

What should I be looking for?

We already had the dealer "reattach the turbo hose" because the car died on my daughter in the library parking lot. I suspect that either that hose is leaking or perhaps the exhaust manifold gasket, or maybe even a hose between the MAF and the throttle body.

I'm guessing that all of these hoses are a couple of tens of dollars to purchase and likely easy to replace. How difficult is an exhaust gasket to replace? I do have a torque wrench but don't have the Chilton manuals (will order them in the next 5 minutes).

What is your experience?

Thanks!
Gary
