dipstick alternatives V70-XC70 1998

I "was" looking for a new O ring for my old style oil dipstick when the plastic handle came off. What a bummer!! I was at the dealer parts window when it happened, we were looking at alterrnatives for a new O ring.

He suggested that I spend $75 for a new dipstick and holder. I declined. FCP has them for around $45.

Glue won't work, besides the O ring is as hard as the plastic and doesn't work anyway.

Should I look at a 2001-2003 from a junk yard? Or, just bite the check book and call FCP. If I order from FCP, will they include the bottom O ring for the oil pan, or is that separate?

What a royal pain!
