Coil 400

Always trust your gut. If you are uncomfortable, get out of the shop with your car. There are other shops that specalise in electrical issues, visit one.

If the coil is failing to put out enough to fire the spark plugs, then it is time to replace it, not before. Besides, there should be plenty of coils in the slavage yards whose owner demolished the car but not the coil.

Drive it home. Pick up a spare used coil and keep it in the boot.
