New Coolant and Flush/ Service Light S70 2000

My 2000 s70 has 111,000 and I last flused the coolant at 75,000 three years ago.
The manuel and volvo specialist say it should never need flushing. Whats the
real story here....about how many miles or years should go between new coolant..
no leaks.......also I get this car serviced regularly but the service light is
coming on for a few minutes .....can I stop this or do I have to take it back
to the stop ....they seen to charge for everything.
