XC Tires for light snow- MXV4 or XGT H4? V70-XC70 1998

I have 2 choices in tires. The Michelin MXV4 Plus @ $116 or the XGT H4 @ $85 each. Which tire is better in the snow? The MXV4 seems to be a quieter tire and the XGT H4 appears to be more of a performance tire. Is this correct?
