Battery going dead V70-XC70

I have this nagging issue with my battery/starting circuit. Hoping someone has seen this before.

If I sit in the car with the key in number I position listening to the radio.
(I spend a lot of time waiting for my wife at the train station) and hockey season has started.
The battery may go dead after 20-30 minutes with only the radio on. It requires a boost to start.

I have checked the charging and starting circuits, and replaced the battery, with a high cranking rate battery. I have taken the new battery back and had it tested show as "good battery"
This happen regardless of weather/temp. the car can sit all weekend in the cold and have a good crank rate.
Seems to be really related to the amount of draw on the battery during accessory use (radio) surely a radio does not draw a high current?
No problem with starting on a recent 11,000km trip.

Starting to think it would be cheaper to buy a portable radio for these waits.
any suggestions.
Thanks John
