repairing the pcv system 850 93

how do I get the remaining part of the elbow connector that leads from a box under the manifold to the hose that leads to the flame trap.

It is held on by a hose clamp, that I have been able to work loose.

The elbow has detierorated so much that when I have tried to hook it, the rubber just falls apart.

I have heard that you can use a pair of long needle nose pliers to pick at this.

does anyone know what size of pliers to use, or if there is an easier way of doing this?
