Volvo S40 code P1618 S40-V40

This is a fun code. You have an emissions related code stored in your transmission module. What that code is, I don't know. Here's the thing, looking through the codes that show up for tansmission (solenoid/oil temp...) none make sense to throw an emission code.

However, I could be misunderstanding what it means, and it could just mean your transmission is throwing a code. Your turbo control is disabled while the fault is there.

I think you have to go to a dealer/volvo shop to read tranny codes, but i'm 100% on that. What color is your fluid? If its not nice and red, flush it. It could be a warning sign that you're low on fluid, or that you're getting a solenoid to stick every now and then. Fresh fluid should clean it enough and make it go away. Your fluid should never look like used motor oil, if it does flush asap.
