Dashboard failure lights, speedometer, gauges S60 2002

Owned my 2002 S60 since 2005. Purchased as a preowned vehicle. Yesterday, my dashboard failed. My gauges do not work, my speedometer does not work, warning lights, clock, temperature and message lights not functioning. Has this happened to anyone else. Googled problem and got a lot of results. Called Volvo of North America, asked if there is a recall and they said no. Did not seem to be very concerned. Need some answers
