I agree that all cars have problems with the new emissions and OB2 issues. I think Volvo is average or slightly above average in regards to reliability. The problem is that many people believe that they are as reliable as an old dodge straight six. When I bought my Volvo I was under the impression that Volvos had the reputation of being very safe and extremely reliable , bullet proof. I thought Volvos were the type of cars that were just broken in at 100000 miles. My Volvo has been very reliable and besides the airbag cover peeling a little and the evaporator leaking and the engine stabilizer breaking and premature rotor life , the car has been very good. I am not kidding the only problem that bothers me is the airbag cover peeling and the evaporator leaking.
