Hi Roy

No Volvo did not discontinue them because they didn't break down enough.

It would have played perfectly into their marketing strategy of being eco friendly to say that we make such a good car it lasts for ever.....

Safe? very much so but its a safe bet to say that an S80 is by far much safer in every respect.

As for not enough repair rev, please, gimmy a break, a 240 that needs 240k service is REPAIR REVENUE.

Besides this is "OPINIONS FORUM" crap.
