1998 S70 lambda sond light on S70 1998

If your gauge has liters, it is a Canadian car. American cars do not have Lambda lights. You could get the codes read at an autoparts store to save you some time.

Are you sure it is 88K miles? Someone might have replaced a few items on this car. Check the engine compartment and look for a timing belt sticker on the passenger side. If there isn't one, you might be looking at a new timing belt and rollers.

A Volvo dealer can scan the computer and check the mileage, but they charge for that. My local dealer charges $100 for a pre-buy inspection, perhaps a call to them will let them give you a list of things to do and look out for.
