transmission problem 850

The 232 causes the 322. I suspect that the plug for the speed sensor has corroded and is causing the fault. The plug is in line with others close to the PNP switch. Haynes manual does point it out in a picture.

I would first unplug it, check the wires, clean it, add dielectric grease, plug it back in, and see if it works.

Do not subject your tranny, which is still good, to abuse by riding around in D. Shift to L when starting out, then shift to 3 and leave it there until you come to a stop again. Avoid D.
